Sikeston-Miner is home to two fine
18-hole golf courses: Sikeston Country Club and the Bootheel Golf
Club. The Country Club is a handicapped-accessible par 71 course
covering 6,019 yards. This semiprivate course is located at #1 Country
Club Road off East Malone Street (Business Highway 60 East). For

The Bootheel Golf Club is a handicapped-accessible
par 72 course covering 6,649 yards. This public course has a fully
stocked Pro Shop, a PGA Pro on staff for instruction, a 300 yard
lighted driving range and putting green, snack bar and grill, and
covered winter driving range. For more information, call the Bootheel

Road, next to the Sikeston Jaycee Rodeo grounds.
Race fans, you'll enjoy great action
at our four nearby race tracks. You'll have a choice of racing action
to watch every weekend from April through September. Contact these

adults) of all ages! With every season, you'll also enjoy special
activities such as Cotton Carnival rides in September, Haunted Hay rides

The Sikeston Missouri Arts Council
and the Sikeston Art League offer a number of community concerts,
cultural performances and art shows throughout the year. In Sikeston
- Miner, you will find the oldest performing arts group between
St. Louis and Memphis, the Sikeston Little Theater. Their performances
are not to be missed, nor are the annual performances of the Arts
Council's Missoula Children's Theater. The new Albritton Mayer Center
for the arts provides a home for a host of multimedia cultural presentations.
Many talented people call Sikeston or Miner "home" and we are always excited to see or hear their works. One such talent is portrait artist Catherine Camden. Catherine paints portraits from life as well as photographs and her work has been referred to as "the gift of portraying emotion."
Her skill with oils and pastels is well-known, not only here in southeast Missouri, but across the nation. Her paintings have been displayed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. So real you have to look twice, Catherine's portraits are a joy to see.
